A Message From Our President

Welcome to the Conference of Minority Public Administrators homepage!  I hope you find our website useful and I encourage you to check it frequently as we will go all-out to provide you with current news, information and updates on events in the COMPA community.  I want to extend a whole-hearted thank you to Tiffany Colvin-Smith, for her vision and tireless efforts in maintaining our website.

The Conference of Minority Public Administrators (COMPA), Hampton Roads Chapter, is an organization that was founded in June of 1979 to address the unique concerns and challenges of Minority Public Administrators in the public and private sector.  Our members are highly skilled, dedicated and extremely knowledgeable in their respected fields.

It is my honor and privilege to serve as the President of the Conference of Minority Public Administrators for the 2010-2011 term.  My theme for this year will be “The Pursuit of Excellence through F.I.R.E! - Fairness, Integrity, Responsibility and Energy.” I anticipate an outstanding year of trailblazing and I invite all members who subscribe to our ideals to invest in COMPA. Your participation, support and camaraderie are priceless, and together we will make an enormous difference in our communities.
